- Video Card Drivers
Updating video card drivers has proven to resolve most issues with individual games. If needed, directions are provided below.
- Identify your operating system

- Msconfig Utility
Disable running programs while playing games. You can disable these programs with the msconfig utility. Refer to this guide for Configuring your Startup Programs made by NetSquirrel.com for help with configuration.
Important Note: Improper use of the MSConfig Utility can cause damage to your computer. GameTap is not responsible for improper configurations using MSConfig.
- Remove Spyware
Spyware is known to effect computer speed. Be sure that Spyware is not interfering with your game.
- Re-download the Game
Games can become corrupted when downloading due to an intermittent connection, program conflicts, spyware, etc. Deleting and re-downloading the game may solve the problem.
- Delete and Re-download the Game
- Delete the game from the Games tab of My GameTap.
- Re-download the game, making sure the game is fully downloaded before playing the game.
