Document Keyboard lag caused by ATI's hotkey poller
There is a known issue with a program called ATI Hotkey Poller that causes keyboard lag in games on some systems. Another less common issue occurs when vsync is turned on in a game.

If you have the ATI software installed:
  1. Click Start
  2. Click Run
  3. Type taskmgr into the Run field
  4. Click the Processes tab
  5. Locate ati2evxx.exe
  6. Right click on ati2evxx.exe and select End Process
  7. Close the Task Manager
  8. Try playing your game again
If the above did resolve your issue we recommend disabling this program from running at startup. To do this:
  1. Click Start
  2. Click Run
  3. Type msconfig into the Run field
  4. Select the Startup tab on the far right
  5. Locate ati2evxx
  6. Uncheck the box next to ati2evxx
  7. Click OK
  8. Restart your computer
To turn off VSync in a game:
  1. Launch the game that has been having the issue
  2. In the menu, select Options
  3. Select Graphic or Video
  4. If you see an option for VSync in here, turn it off
  5. If you did not see an option for VSync, select Advanced
  6. If there is a Vsync option in here, turn it off
If neither of those issues affect your system, disable any programs installed with your keyboard.
